- HELP ME MOM!
- One day Persephone was with her friends Artemis and Athena picking flowers for her mother Demeter. She followed the smell of a very good flower and wondered off from her friends.
- Hades had watched her from the Underworld. He was dazzled by her beauty. He wanted Persephone to become his wife. He knew that Demeter would never agree to the marriage. So Hades went to the most powerful God of all Gods, his brother Zeus. Zeus agreed and came up with a plan to kidnap Persephone for the marriage.
- Hades appeared in front of the girl as she was picking her flowers. Persephone was in shock as she screamed for her mom Hades took her down into the Underworld.
- Hades then took her down into the Underworld. Hades tried to persuade Persephone into being his wife. All she did was cry until she had no more tears to shed. She wouldn't eat anything. She refused everything Hades tried to give her.
- While above the Underworld Demeter was not happy. Everything went gloomy, crops weren't growing. She asked for any help to find her daughter and that's when the sun told her everything and that's when Demeter went to find Zeus. Demeter told Zeus that everything would be like this until her daughter was found. Zeus made his assistant find her and when he did he was too late she had already fell in love and ate six seeds from the food Hades gave her so the assistant made a deal with Hades.
- The deal was six months with Hades and six months with Demeter. Demeter was sad with only six months with her daughter so without her everything went gloomy. So for six months things went gloomy and then for the other everything was back to normal creating the four seasons.
