“That is not my master’s voice, sir. Dr. Jekyll was done away with eight days ago.”
Poole and Mr. Utterson stand in a dimly lit room. Poole, tense and determined, hands Utterson a crumpled note. Utterson leans close to the candle, reading the desperate request for a pure chemical substance. His face is pale, his expression deeply troubled.
Poole and Mr. Utterson stand in the dimly lit kitchen. Poole, pale and shaken, recounts what he saw. In the background, a shadowy figure with a mask is glimpsed retreating up the stairs. Utterson, deep in thought, tries to make sense of it all.

Mr. Utterson and Poole stand in the dimly lit hallway, gripping a kitchen poker and an axe. Their faces are tense with determination and fear. In the background, the door of Dr. Jekyll’s cabinet looms.
