Whats Mitosis?
Hey supercell! I recently hurt my leg at the gym. I was told you knew a lot about injuries and how to recover fast.

What's Mitosis you ask? Let me tell you!
Mitosis
It all starts with the parent cell about to double there DNA. That is the first stage of mitosis. Mitosis is the process of cell division where the nucleus divides into two nuclei.
Interphase
Before the DNA doubles I'm going to talk about interphase. Interphase is the longest stage of the cell cycle. This stage happens between cell divisions. While Interphase happens the cell grows and develops and performs its function. At the end of interphase, the amount of DNA doubles.
Prophase
Now that the DNA has doubled, Mitosis will begin. The start of mitosis starts with prophase. During prophase the amount of DNA has doubled and each chromosome shows as two identical strands joined at the center. Also what happens is that the nuclear membrane breaks down. There is also a possibility to see threads of proteins called spindle fibers. Now we will move onto Metaphase.
