- Of course there is. The day of the dead is 2 days Halloween is only one
- Also the day of the dead celebrates family's and friends that have passed away its the one time a year sprites can come back and say hi
- Is there a difference between Halloween and the day of the dead
- cool what else is different about them
- well there is a lot Halloween is scary, grimy, and full with bloody.
- The day of the dead is a day of remembrance so people decorate with flowers and candles and the make alters called ofrendas.
- What are ofrendas for?
- The ofrenda is an offering. People in the family decorate the alter putting the person who has passed on the top.
- The other layers are placed with some of there favorite foods, candles and flowers called marigolds.
- So the day of the dead is two days?
- YES! November 1st and second
- The first day is for the kids that have pasted and the second is for the elders.
