- $ 1.87, That's all that Della has to buy a gift for his love one Jim and she is not happy about it.

- Della: Jim?... What do u looking at??... What do u think???.Jim:...
- Jim most value possession was his clock from his father and Della most value possession was her hair.
- Falling action
- Jim: I was just looking like u because I sold my clock to buy u some beautiful combs for ur hair that I... Don't see now.Della: Omg Jim!!, I sell my hair to buy u a silver chain for your value hand watch!!.
- Della really wants to buy a gift for Jim , So she was decided to sell her hair in order to buy a good present for Jim that represent how honored she felt for have him.
- Resolution
- Jim: Don't get me wrong Della, I really love u and u don't look ugly. U still beautiful as always, I was just worry about my gift.Della: I was thinking about it too!!!, and worried about my hair too.
- Della seen an expression in the face of Jim that she could not read, and it terrified her.
- In this part Jim and Della realized that each gifts was useless for each other.
- They don't really care about the useless gifts or Jim the appearance of Della, they love each other so much that they sacrificed their most valuable possession.
