- "With Ender, we have to strike a delicate balance. Isolate him enough that he remains creative-otherwise he'll adopt the system here and we'll lose him. At the same time, we need to make sure he keeps a strong ability to lead"(page 27)I picked this quote because it shows from the beginning that Ender is not a normal kid and is not going to be treated like a normal kid. As well as the importance of Ender developing into a commander.
- Part 3:Leader
- "I will program your battles now, not the computer... From now on the enemy is more clever than you. From now on the enemy is stronger than you. From now on you are always about to lose... but you will win. You will learn to defeat the enemy"(page 263) .I picked this quote because it signifies Enders journey into the beginning of the war.
- Part 5:The War

- Part 6:Aftermath
- "You want to make me the best soldier possible. Go down and look at the standings. Look at the all-time standings. So far you're doing an excellent job with me. Congratulations. Now when are you going to put me up against a good army"(page 191).I picked this quote because it shows that Ender is exceeding all others in the games and is eager to be put up against a good team. And acknowledging that they have been monitoring him.
- "You beat them, and it's all over.' All over. Beat them. Ender didn't understand... 'Ender, you never played me... This was the Third Invasion... the battles were real and the only enemies you fought were the buggers"(page 296).I picked this quote because it's very important and is a plot twist. Due to the fact that Ender was fighting the buggers the whole time and didn't even know showing just how oblivious he was.
- "And always Ender carried with him a dry white cocoon, looking for a place where the hive-queen could awaken and thrive in peace. He looked a long time"(page 324). And for my last quote I picked this one because it shows that Ender regrets what he did because the queen said they would have never attacked if they knew they were capable of thought which goes to show that he is trying to find wanting.
