- Do you know who is Mansa Musa? Mansa Musa was the ruler of the Mali Empire from 1312 to 1337. He is known as the richest king in the history.

- Mansa Musa's pilgrimage to Mecca is a well-known story. He went on a pilgrimage because he wanted his empire to have a significant influence in Islamic World.
- Mali Empire was just an empire which was only economically developed. Gold was the main product of Mali, and Mali has an enormous amount of gold.
- By the interaction with other cultures during the pilgrimage, Mansa Musa benefit Mali Empire a lot. He developed trade cities like Timbuktu into significant cultural centers. Also, he brought archtects from the Middle East and designed new buildings. Therefore, his interaction led Mali to become a center of learning in the Islamic World!
