- This day is the start of the great depression, October 29th 1929, when the stock market crashed and companies started to lose value and many even went bankrupt. Because of this Tens of thousands of Canadians lost their jobs. This day in history is called "Black Tuesday".
- Oh no honey that's horible! I know how much you love your job. lets take a walk to clear your head and talk about it.
- Hi honey I just had the worst day at work today. First our company went bankrupt and then, not an hour later, they fired me!
- 2 Months later
- I'm sorry Sophia, I know these past couple months have been hard and now we're on the nut and have to sell the house, but I have found a soup kitchen not too far from here where we can stay for a while. And I promise you things will get better.

- Isn't it crazy our own Prime Minister, Mackenzie King, isn't even woried about our situation and says "the econimy will recover onnits own"!?
- Well since he isn't going to help us, I guess we'll have to help ourselves. Thats why we are going to this soup kitchen to help us get through this tough time.
