- In second grade, my dad was working when I was supposed to be picked up from school, and I had to stay on the bus. They then took me to a district building where I cried the whole way there and at the building. My dad eventually came back to get me, but I learned that I had extreme FOMO and I hated being forgotten and lonely.
- Playing Baseball
- A big part of my personality and identity is my humor. I'd like to think I'm a funny guy, and a big part of that is because of my family. Whenever my grandpa would eat fish, his favorite food, he would tell me: "Eat some, it'll make you handsome like me." My uncle is always able to make our friends and family laugh, he's a very spontaneous person. My dad always makes our family laugh, whether it's a good joke or not. In fact, he often posts "dad jokes" on his Facebook.
- Grandpa had COVID
- A challenge I faced this year was my ankle injury. I hurt my ankle playing baseball, and it was a big challenge. I had to wear a boot, which obviously was way different. I couldn't play baseball, I couldn't do a lot of the fun things I love to do, which was definitely not fun. Not only was I hurt physically, I was sad emotionally. Thankfully, my friends cheered me up and I was still able to have fun, even with my boot. This allowed me to be able to have fun, not only playing sports but being more creative.
- The first time I played baseball had a huge impact on my life. I fell in love with the game, and I still am to this day. In T-ball, I did very good and was able to skip it even though I wasn't supposed to. Watching the Yankees and playing baseball have been so big in my life, and playing baseball has given me the qualities of competitiveness, hard work, and teamwork. These are still things that apply to me today, not just in baseball.
- Another event that shaped me to be who I am today is when my grandpa got COVID. I had to help around their house, and I helped a lot with my little cousins, Ava and Mia, as they sleep there a lot. Although it was a sad and difficult experience, it allowed me to be more responsible and loving to my family and friends.
