- The roman Empire was enormous, from Britan in the northwest, parts of Morocco in the southwest,to Armenia in the northeast, even parts of Iraq in the east and Egypt in the southeast. Rome was the biggest city with more than a million people (more than Rotterdam)
- To get all the armies of the Romans to all the parts of the Empire they had build roads, fortifications, bridges, aquaducts, ships etcetera. To do this and to maintain this they needed a lot of money. And for the soldiers also food, and there were also a lot of people living in cities. They needed food too and games to keep them happy. Oh, and the rich got richer and the poor poorer and (h)angry :)
- We don't have enough money to build roads and aquaducts, to give to the navy and the army or even to pay for the colloseum games.
- Because the Roman Empire was to big, and they all talked latin a lot of people in Europe can understand each other more easily. And a lot of laws and are based on old Roman laws. And this roman alphabet of course.
- Altough I come from an other part of Europe I can trade with you, because my language is very similar to yours
- Yes and that is also because I am also a christian like you and latin was used in church for a long time
- The Roman Empire was very large and it had a huge, well trained army with a lot of smart tactics and a good organisation. And they build roads and a navy so they moved faster. Because of this army the Romans could defeat others and well also because most tribes did not have an army this big.

- The Romans did not have enough money to pay for soldiers everywhere, so when tribes of "barbarians" attacked the borders of the Empire the soldiers fled and the Empire collapsed. - Romans were really good in engineering and architecture, their styles have influenced builders around the world. And a lot of science is still based on things Romans have invented.
