- Margaret, can you run into the cafeteria and tell Beatrice that you overheard us talking about her. Tell her that she can sneak into a locker to eavesdrop on us.
- Ursula
- Hero
- Alright, as Beatrice arrives, we'll be talking about nothing except Benedick. Your job is to praise Benedick, while I talk about how in love Benedick is with Beatrice.
- *talking so only Hero can hear* The best part about fishing is watching greedily take the bait, and now, we're fishing for Beatrice, who is in one of the lockers behind us
- Beatrice
- *talking so only Ursula can hear* We can start now. Can you see how Beatrice is hiding in the locker try ing to overhear us?
- Then let's get closer so she can hear all the bat we've set up for her more clearly.
- Are you sure Benedick loves her that much?
- Well thats what the Prince and Claudio says, but in my opinion he's barking up the wrong tree. But who am I to decide.
- No Ursula, she's too contemptous.
- And did they ask you to tell Beatrice about it?
- Why would you do that? Doesn't Benedick deserve luck with
- Well they wanted to, but I persuaded them otherwise, so Benedick would have to battle his emotions and Beatrice would be left in the dark about his love for her.
- I know he deserves everything that a man can want, but there's never been a heart as tough or proud as Beatrice's. She's so in love with herself, that she can't possibly comprehend what love is.
