- Prove to me that you're a Mason!
- I am a Mason! We must continue.
- Falling Action
- He's asleep, now I can begin filling in the door frame with bricks.
- Resolution
- Finally my master plan worked! Now he must suffer!
- Montresor and Fortunato continue down towards the catacombs where Fortunato asks Montresor is he is a Mason. Montresor proves that he is a Mason by pulling out a trowl.
- Montresor and Fortunato finally get to the catacombs and Montresor tells Fortunato to walk into a dark room where Montresor chains him up with a chain and padlock.
- Fortunato passes out and Montresor starts filling the door Fortunato is in with bricks using his trowel. When he finished all he could hear is the faint sound of bells ringing inside.
