Today we are going to explore engineering, but there are a lot of math and science skills we need before we can do that!
After we test and experiment different ideas, we will be able to take those concepts and apply them to a different authentic real world problem!
We are going to test and experiment and use engineering design with our own projects.
We are integrating engineering curriculum in other areas like math and science!

This is important because our class is about learning how to integrate ideas like engineering and computational thinking into every day curriculum in other subject areas. It also relates to class because it takes the idea of learning something and applying it in different context which is important with engineering design and computational thinking

This is important as a teacher because we want students to be exposed to this kind of thinking because it helps them solve problems and think through ideas. It was also a good example of how to actually integrate these concepts across curriculum that actually has to do with each other.
