Emma decides to confront her to spend more time together. Juliet starts to agree until Juliet's group of friends starts to want to get her attention to them that she faltered and said almost apologetically that maybe next time they can hang out.
I was wondering if we can hang out sometime? Like hang out with each other more since we haven't done that for a while.
Oh sure...oh um..sorry...but my friends are calling me..maybe some other time we can hang out? See you later.

As you can see , from the the previous scene, it shows social pressure because Juliet has been trying to say yes to Emma to try to hang out together more but then her other friends want her attention to them that she has to decline her favor in maybe 'next time'. Anyway, right now there's open conflict in this scene because Emma starts to think that maybe herself is not important to Juliet's life anymore.
Maybe Juliet doesn't care about me anymore...maybe she doesn't think I'm important in her life anymore. Maybe it's time for me to distance this relationship.

As if that isn't enough, Juliet slowly manipulates Emma to do the things that she wanted like to do so called 'favors' for her.
