Mia watches Becky hand out pool-party invites to all their friends, expecting one herself because she’s helped Becky before—but Becky leaves her out and says hurtful comments with Mia's friends, leaving her hurt and confused.
Hey look, it's Mia! Probably hoping for an invitation. She’s always acting like she matters. Newsflash: nobody’s wasting a second on her. Ugh, her whole vibe is wrong.
*Laughs* Yeah, she's such a weirdo. Acting like she's our friend while we're way out of her league.

The bell rings. Mia goes straight to the nurse's office and asks to be sent home. The nurse, sensing something is wrong, asks her questions. She denies everything, says that she feels sick, and gets sent home. But the nurse decides to figure out what is happening.
Something weird is going on . . . I'm going to make sure she is okay.
Let's go home, Mia. I'll take care of you.

Soon, the school day ends and the nurse calls Mia on her laptop. She asks her if she really is genuinely not fine. Mia breaks down and tells her everything about Becky an her friends. She feels reassured and glad that she is supported.
