- I wonder how heat is hitting me when the sun is all the way in space.
- Convection causes the thermal energy to rise. Energy is the ability to do work.
- I wonder what causes the fire to rise up in the fireplace.
- That is called conduction. Everything has to be the same temperature with room temperature. That is called thermal equilibrium.
- Ouch! Why is my spoon so hot when it wasn't even being boiled?
