We have a test soon and there are a couple things I haven’t taught you guys yet.
We have a test soon and there are a couple things I haven’t taught you guys yet.
Is it Photosynthesis and Cellular respiration?
Exactly Bella, so let's start with cellular respiration does anyone know how it works?
Yea I think it starts with Glycolysis which puts 1 glucose into 2 Pyruvates, this generates a total of 2 ATP and generates NADH which is sent to the ETC (electron transport chain).
Yea and the next step is the Krebs cycle, the Krebs cycle breaks down the 2 pyruvates bonds and releases carbon dioxide. This generates 2 ATP as well as NADH and FADH which is also sent to the ETC. The final step is the ETC, with all the NADH and FADH the ETC uses all these to generate 34 ATP.
Exactly and The purpose of cellular respiration is to generate energy and the total energy generated is 38. Also a very important part of cellular respiration is that the  process repeats itself over and over.
Woah I had no idea that's how cellular respiration worked is there anything else we need to know for the test.
There's is one more thing you guys need to know its photosynthesis
I think I might know this one. There are 2 parts of photosynthesis: Light Reactants and Calvin cycle. The Light reactions come first, with them getting H2O and light as well as Nadp+ and ADP and turning it into O2. This takes place in the Thylakoid.
Exactly and the Calvin cycle is the second part,it takes place in the Stroma. It happens by the Calvin cycle taking CO2, ATP, making sugar, this is how photosynthesis works.
So is everybody ready for the test?
