- "HEY LADIES COME OVER TRY THE STOVE ITS WARM", The guy went on to say "ITS FINE WAS NOT COLD" The lady then said, "IN THE BEGINNING OF THE STORY IT GIVES US THE SETTINGS OF WHERE THEY ARE AND THE CLIMATE."
- middle of the storymrs. peters and mrs.peters and mrs.hale room
- " i think theirs one that all right, its cherries too, " in in the beginning of the story they found mrs. peters cherries spilled and only one left, taking about how hard she works for her cherries in hot weather.

- the chair moves on its own showing signs of ghost or dead people walking around hearing over mrs. hales conversation, giving Mrs. Hale second thoughts of what really happened.

- mrs, haul asks mrs. peters if she really believed what happened is true aboutjohn killing himself with a noose around his neck. talking bout how everything about this case seems off
- mrs. hale and mrs. peters are going through the ladys stuff when they first find the bird cage with no bird and a messed up cage but later find the bird wrapped in tissue with its snap as if somone wrong its neck
- mrs. hale and mrs. peter find out the real story with the bird and the man who hung himself and when the men come back they put everything away and hide the bird. then the men asked them, " well at least we know she didnt quit but what it called ladies"  henderson said as the ladies replied with " we call it knotted.
