Storyboard Text

  • Reanna is in front of their house waiting for the school bus to arrive. Vehicles are swiftly passing through and many neighbors are walking at the sam time. While waiting, she saw Camille and called her right away.
  • Oh hi there Reanna!  Sounds great! C'mon!
  • Hey Camille! Are you also on your  way to school? Let's go together!
  • The two finally arrived at the school. On their way to the entrance, they met Charles and Sydney.
  • Oh No! What happened to you Syd? Charles do you know she's crying?
  • I'll guess, it's either she failed the exams or she broke with Kit.
  • I just received my exam papers and I got Fs on all subjects.
  • I wonder what's for lunch today.
  • The conversation continued until Charles responded wrongly.
  • She has to.
  • How's that even possible? Have you asked Mr. Rodriguez?
  • I did. But he said, it's true. I did fail in the exams. But I can take the remedial classes. My parents will be mad, if they knew about this.
  • Reanna calling Camille is the the sending of message through a direct communication. She is after the reaction of her friend to her greeting. Passing vehicles and walking neighbors set as the barrier of communication.
  • To lighten things up, Reanna told Sydney that they'll help her with her problem.
  • Stop crying Syd, sure we'll help you out on this. Don't worry. To positively start the day why not have a brealfast at the cafeteria?
  • Good idea.
  • On the second scene, the four friends  had a conversation upon seeing Sydney crying. Reanna prompted a question which demanded a feedback. The three girls are deconding and comprehending the interaction while Charles, was preoccupied by his thoughts on lunch which made him missed the talk.
  • The friends went to the cafeteria to eat their breakfast. 
  • What would you like to eat kids?
  • Special LunchToday:Alfredo Pasta
  • Reanna and Camille, responded to Sydney's sad news. However, Charles skewedly answered the question with, "Maybe pasta?". This shows how internal noise/conflict could affect the conversation.
  • They finished their meal and decided to go to their classes.
  • I got full! Guess it'stime to go to our classes. See you around!
  • Yes! See you guys later after class! Bye!
  • Maybe pasta?
  • To redirect the wrong response from Charles, Reanna responded to Sydney's problem by lending a hand in resolving such conflict.She then encoded that they go for a breakfast in the cafeteria.
  • That's nice!
  • This time, the cafeteria lady started the communication process and the four teens listened, decoded and replied to her query.
  • Not sure if I'll have pancake and berries.
  • Fried rice and sausage!
  • The four ended their conversation by reactign to each others' utterances. 
  • Let's eat at Sam's later!
