- One of the first interactions shown between Todd and Ethan takes place at the creek. Here Todd is lighting his little sisters toys on fire. Ethan is visibly uncomfortable while Todd is laughing and watching the toys burn showing that he is crazed.
- Late at night when Bailey is wandering the neighborhood Todd lures him into his room to make him sniff a strong chemical and shows him the firecrackers he has hidden in his desk. These actions make him malicious.
- Todd takes Chelsea’s dog and after time passes and inference can be made that he had killed her. This makes Todd vile and evil.
