- Introduction
- Children should go and be a curious adventure, not a scared, vulnerable mouse.“Childhood should be carefree, playing in the sun; not living a nightmare in the darkness of the soul.” -Dave Pelzer. This quote speaks volumes of kids all around suffering from child abuse and it not being reported or seen. Kids are having to grow up too early and their little mind having to quickly develop more than necessary at their small ages.
- “Let us be the ones who say we do not accept that a child dies every three seconds simply because he does not have the drugs you and I have. Let us be the ones to say we are not satisfied that your place of birth determines your right for life. Let us be outraged, let us be loud, let us be bold.”- Brad Pitt.
- Narration
- Child abuse: Usually used when a child has been through physical maltreatment or sexual molestation.
- Children are living with abuse 24/7 in some homes and family's.Some cases are found only when the child loses his/her life to that treatment.Even when a adult is pregnant with a baby and is still using drugs or achcohol that is considered abuse. When child abuse starts it is usually with someone they know already. Not all suspicions and accusations are accurate,all deserve serious attention and immediate action.

- Victims are usually scared to tell their stories about being abused as a child. Not telling their childhood beatings because they are embarrassed,scared and traumatized from the events. It seems talking out makes it a reality.
- Macy's home is no true home with strange men coming and going from her mothers room, passing by Macy with a long, lustful looks.Her father not being their to protect his little girl, instead serving time for his wrong actions.Macy at age 15 feels guilty for not being able to protect her brother,from people who separate them.
- Conclusion
- "Child abuse is one of those issues that's very difficult to talk about because it's surrounded by guilt and shame and so on, but us avoiding that issue doesn't help those kids in need out there who need support"
- Each human life touches hundreds of others.The ramifications of child abuse and neglect are exponential. Whether you realize it or not, you and everyone you know is affected by this issue. "-SPCC

- America has one of the worst records among other nations. - However, A report of child abuse is made every ten seconds.Yearly 3.6 million referrals are made to child protection agencies. Around 3.2 million of these children are the subject to investigated report.
