This dialogue is represented in the story as Cole being so determined that he decided he wanted to leave Circle Justice with no supplies at all. Cole had been so angry that he destroyed the only supplies he had. He decided to swim away from Circle Justice which was a huge fail only because of the incoming tide that just put him right back where he started.
This dialogue can be represented as an example of Conflict by explaining how in all of Chapter 6 Cole´s mom, Cole´s dad, and Cole had been in trouble for many years. Trouble such as Cole being a horrible kid but the Dad was super horrible too and that is why the Mom is scared of Cole´s dad. Cole´s Dads actions reflected off of Cole so now Cole was so angry at hid Dad that he started to bully an innocent kid named Peter Driskil.
This dialogue represents how Cole, Garvey, and Peter Driskil were all at the Circle Justice meeting arguing with what should happen with Cole. Peter really hated Cole for many reasons, one of them being Cole bullying him for no reason at all. Garvey as always was a nice person and tried to help out this situation. Cole is the main character who bullied an inoccentt kid who now is traumatized.
