- These fish are bright colored, live at the surface of a salt water lake, and their eyes have a speacial protective layer due do the rays in the sun that cause their eyes to burn if directly shined on, they also vary in fin sizes from large to small. They live at the surface because in the lake there arent any predators that live at the surface, their color attracts shrimps which is their main food source
- One day there is very high winded weather that causes a big wave in the lake that also causes some fish to get caught in the wave and be pushed into the ocean
- Once the wave has settle and they begin to explore their new location, they start to be hunted by the surface predators, sharks, which rome the surface because of the seals that sunbathe on the rocks. Because they cannot survive at the surface they have to find a new location
- As they find a new location at the bottom the the ocean, it it very dark and the pressure of the water is very high which causes the fish with the large fins to survive and the smaller finned fish to die. They found a food source which they have to use more energy to catch the food because their bright colors stand out.
- over time as they adapt to their new enviornment they evolve into a darker color to blend in more and survive better, they also start to lose their eye protection which is not needed due to the dark enviornment at the bottom of the ocean, they start to reproduce more and grow their new population of species
- as their population grows they become more adapted and evolved and stronger, they also find a river which is connected to their origional lake, they return to their orginal home and try to repoduce with them, the old species use natural selection#160; and refuse to reproduce with them because they are darker colored and they dont have eye protection, which means they cant survive for long at the surface.
