- There was once a prince named Siddhartha Gautama, who had everything he ever wanted. He was very wealthy but was never allowed to leave his palace.
- Once he was old enough, Siddhartha was allowed to leave the palace. Outeside, he saw the three forms of suffering; old age, sickness, and death. He didn't like this so he decided to go on a journey.
- On his journey, he met a very calm man who called himself an ascetic.
- How do you stay calm when there is so much suffering in the world?
- I find peace by giving my belongings to others, for I am an ascetic.
- So Siddhartha tried to be an ascetic but he grew very thin and weak and gave up. He realized he needed to find enlightenment.
- The prince meditated for a long time under the Bodi tree, trying to reach enlightenment. Eventually he reached enlightenment and became...
