Aladins Lamp

- Aladdin is a poor boy who lives in one of the large and rich cities of China. He lives with his mother but his father, who was a tailor, sadly died. He walks through the streets being lazy and playing with friends.
- One day Aladdin is approached by an African magician who pretends to be Aladdins uncle. He stays for a few days and gives Aladdin coins so he could dress in nice clothes and buy food for his mother. He takes Aladdin to the palace and other nice places. Aladdin enjoyed this because he was poor.
- One day he takes Aladdin out of the city and far away into the mountains. The magician makes a fire, said some magic words and the ground turned into a huge stone. He told Aladdin there was a magic lamp and it that would make him incredibly rich, but only Aladdin could go into the stone. But what Aladdin didn't know is the magician wanted to lamp for himself.
- On the stone there was a brass ring which Aladdin uses to enter the stone. Aladdin finds the lamp but needed help in climbing out . The magician wanted Aladdin to give him the lamp before he would help him. Aladdin could not do that so the magician flew into a rage, said some magic words and Aladdin was trapped in the cave as it closed over him. Aladdin realised this was not his uncle but an evil man.
- Aladdin finds the ring and accidentally rubs it. A genie appears and helps him escape. Aladdin goes back home, shows the lamp to his mum and she rubs it. A genie appears and they wish for lots of food. Aladdin sees the princess Princess Buddir al Buddoor who he vows to marry.
- Aladdins mother asks the Sultan if he will let the princess marry Aladdin. She gives him lots of jewels to show that Aladdin is wealthy. The Sultan said she is due to marry someone else but to wait three months. After three months they marry. The magician returned, and tried to take the lamp but was thwarted and Aladdin and the princess lived on happily together.
