- The man in the poem is mostly in grief about the loss of his arm and his limitations ,but at the end of the poem he soon accepts the reality and makes the best of it.
- Title
- In most of the poem the man is mournful about the loss of his arm,a and at the end he becomes optimistic.
- Theme
- The shift in tone is when the man finally accepts that he can't do everything that he used to do before he lost his arm.
- After reading the poem my title was partially correct. The poem was about a man but he represented the loss of an arm and his acceptance.
- The theme is that no matter the circumstance, never give up on yourself.
