- Black Beauty's stables were set on fire when a man made a poor decision by smoking against the owners will
- Black Beauty and other horses made it out alive and the owners felt the need to sell them
- After the fire Black Beauty was sold to a rich Dutch and duchess where the handler used a harmful bit for Black Beauty but the duchess insisted otherwise
- in conclusion by smoking in the stables the man burned down the stables and got black beauty sold
- when the duchess had to leave they sold Black Beauty again to a taxi driver named James
