- Slide: 1
- My grandparents were in town visiting and we decided to go get some ice cream. My daughter being 4 years old had fallen asleep in the car on the ride home with ice cream all over her face. When we all got to my father's house I got my daughter out of the car, still sleeping, and was told to take her to the bedroom so she could continue her nap.
- Slide: 2
- Why would you do that! You could see she was sleeping!
- WHY IS SHE ON THE BED WITH ICE CREAM ON HER FACE. SHE IS GOING TO STAIN MY BEDDING!!
- After laying my daughter down on the bed I immediately went to the bathroom to get a wash cloth to wash her face off. As I am wetting the wash cloth my father's girlfriend comes into the bedroom and starts yelling and wakes my daughter up. Angry and frustrated I pick my daughter up to leave and I yell at her asking why she would do that.
- Now I'm going to have to go to the laundry mat to try and get any stains out
- Slide: 3
- Let's all calm down and talk about this. Work this out so we can all enjoy time with Grandma and Grandpa like we planned.
- So as to not ruin Grandma and Grandpa's time visiting, I think it is best if we leave and come back tomorrow
- After storming down the stairs and yelling a few more choice words at each other, my father attempts to deescalate the situation. However, emotions are elevated and I am so angry at her that I decide it is best that my daughter and I leave for the day. This way I have some time to calm down and lower my emotions and come back the next day to enjoy time with my grandparents.
