Women had barely any rights in 1800s. They could do no more than what a slave could, their husbands could discipline them however they wanted, couldn't own property, couldn't speak in public, couldn't go to school, didn't have control over wage, along with many other things. In 1840 Lucrieta Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton went to an anti-slavery rally but weren't allowed to participate which sparked their friendship

Both Stanton and Mott had experienced first hand how unfair the treatment to women was. Stanton witnessed women begging her father who was a judge to protect them against their husbands who would beat them. Mott preached against slavery in churches and helped get girls into a black girl's school.
We need to stop this! Lets host a convention for women's rights at Seneca Falls.

Women should be able to vote
Stanton and Mott ran the convention for women's rights. They had mostly women but some men came too. It was successful and it resulted in states giving women more rights. The right to their wages, property, but the right to vote wouldn't come till decades later.
No they shouldn't
If black men should be able to be vote so should black women, which means all women should be able to vote.
