This rebellion did not last long and did not have much support from Texans

Mexicans thought that the law was necessary to address the problems in Texas
Texans were outraged by these new laws and said it took away their rights

Mexicans sided with their respected general, Santa Anna, and thought that they should give the cannon back or their troops would take it by force
