  • In the 1930’s Driggs decided to do a summer fellowship in Saratoga Springs where she began to experiment with her art style, shying away from primarily precisionist art. During this time she also exhibited her work at Frank Rehn’s gallery in the city

  • In 1935, Driggs married fellow painter Lee Gatch, and they settled in Lambertville, New Jersey. Together, they worked on mural commissions for various causes such as the Works Progress Administration, the Treasury Relief Art Project, and the Harlem River Housing Project.

  • Driggs gave birth to her daughter, Merriman, in. 1938 and devoted the majority of her time to raising g her daughter before later reignited her career as a painter and teacher. She spent the majority of her life living in Lambertville, having much of her art displayed in various local and NYC museums such as the Whitney museum in NYC.
