- Pope Urban II wants reclaim Jerusalem from the Muslims. He convinced people to join by telling them fighting will forgive you from your sins. I chose this because it is important to know why people joined the Crusades
- The first crusade was led by European nobles with around 100,000 crusaders. The crusaders surrounded Jerusalem and after about a month of fighting, Jerusalem fell to the Crusaders. I chose this event because this marked a beginning to a bloody war.
- TThe Crusades weakened Feudalism and brought cultural diffusion & introduced new ideas into Western Europe. Learning increased & more people were educated. I chose this event because it introduces new products and technology into growing urban culture.
