- dear diary,My name is Douglas "Dale" Dimidome. I am the owner of a small diner called the Doug's Dale Dimidome. i have decided to start this diary as a result of the decision i am about to make. The revolutionary war broke out a few weeks ago. I have decided to join the continental army. I have been down on my luck and the diner has had very few customers. I have no family or friends. I don't even car about the revolution. I need to join the army or else I will starve.

- Dear Diary,I joined the army about a week ago. Today, the British invaded New York, where i am located. We've been nearly pushed out of the city. My diner, and my home, have been taken by the British. I have seen things i never wanted to see. done things i never wanted to do. I have no say in the matter. I must follow the commanders orders or i will face punishment. I'm considering taking the punishment at this point. We're starving. the have given us so little food. We've received very few of the supplies we were promised. So far they have only given us a uniform, some stale bread, and our weapons. no sight of the rest of the clothes, food, and money we were promised. I pray that they come.

- Dear Diary,I was captured by the British. they let me keep this diary out of pity. There is no more hope for me and the rest of the army. Even if i do get out, i doubt i will ever get my home or diner back, let alone be given any of the rewards i was promised. We were left neglected, cast aside, and forgotten. The sacrifices weren't worth the rewards. Whoever finds this diary, don't join the army.
