I believe that the earth belongs to the LIVING, and not to the DEAD!
Jefferson has a point. People may want to change the Constitution to include new ideas from each generation, even when we die. We have to keep the lasting and stable framework of government, so let's just make it difficult to change something.
This shows Thomas Jefferson telling the drafters of the constitution his belief of the Earth belonging to the alive and not the dead as well as the drafters considering it and making it where the Constitution can be changed, but its just difficult to do.

The Process of Amending the Constitution
Jefferson! We found out how to have the Earth belong to the living, even when we die! We decided to make the Constitution amendable, or changeable. To propose amendments, two-thirds of both houses of our Congress can vote to propose an amendment, or we can just call a national convention with a request of two-thirds of the state legislatures. To ratify amendments, three-fourths of the state legislatures must approve it, or in special conventions, three-fourths of the states must approve it. We just wrote it in Article V!
Well, I'll be! That's perfect! The Earth can indeed belong to the living!
This shows the framers explaining their plans on how to amend the Constitution, based on Jefferson's beliefs! It briefly explains that the framers added Article V and what it means.
