- Atticus is a determined person when figuring out something or when its about their kids. Atticus is saying that Tom Robinson is not guilty in this case, but someone else most definitely is. The way Mayella was describing the scene and what happened, it couldn't have been Tom, it had to be someone closest to her. 
- atticus is a lovable person. he is questioning as to wy the father didn't call an ambulance for this daughter because as a father, Atticus knows that the is the proper thing to do in a situation dealing with your kids. 
- Atticus is a very empathetic person. He thinks about everyone and seems to be the type who doesn't like to negatively stereo type situations. He doesn't care what race you are, he belives that you shouldn't lie on anyone who dont deserve it no matter. Atticus knows that people will follow one another with assumptions. but he is his own leader and he wont do that.
