A plane full of people evacuating from a catastrophe crash lands on a remote island, It leaves a scar on the earth.
The only survivors turn out to be young boys. Ralph and Piggy find a conch shell and use it to call any other survivors. It works and all of the other boys come over. They then decide that Ralph should be the leader. Ralph, Simon, and, Jack decided to go out and explore the island. They discover wild boars.
The little boys start to believe that there is a snake on the island. They all come together and warn the older boys about this beastie. Ralph makes a fire on the top of the mountain to protect them from the beast and maybe help get them rescued. The boy who originally saw the snake goes missing.
Ralph and Simon start making huts and setting up the island for survival. Jack hyper-fixates on the pigs and goes out to hunt.
Simon wanders off and finds his own part of the island. He uses his space to calm down and isolate himself from the other boys.
The littluns start to fight and stop conforming as they did in their old life. The lack of structure finally affects them. Jack uses paint to truly transform himself into a savage. He finally kills the pig and they feast on it.
