- stranger comes in and tests out to see the childs seperation anxiety
- mother leaves the room and leaves the stranger and baby together
- stranger leaves the room and the mother reuintes with the child, testing how secure the relationship is between the two
- mother leaves child again testing seperation anxiety
- the stranger returnes testing stranger anxiety and the mother returns testing reuinion behaviour
