‘winifred!,don’t sit on that dirty grass.you’ll stain you boots and stockings .”’Come in winnie, you’ll get a heat stroke out there on a day like this and lunch is ready.’
At this moment mae tuck flung open the door and yelled with her thin firm voice screamed out to winnie to come inside and eat.
look here,toad i don’t think i can stand it much longer,people are driving me insane.’
while walking more into the garden she sits on the bridge and finds some pebbles,winnie started throwing it at the toad but it kept dodging her hits. She was also talking about her feelings then stopped after running out of pebbles and started being more gentle to the toad.
At noon of that same day in the first week of august winnie foster sat on the bristly grass and was talking to the toad it was hard to know wether the toad was listening or not.

She paused and thinks she thought the same as the toad then came her terrible idea of running away.
