The Period of Reconstruction Comes to an End
At least slavery was abolished, but this current circumstance because of Reconstruction is no better.
This was an absolute failure! If only people would listen to me and allow congress to harshly punish the South and protect all Freedmen!
The Struggle for Equality Has Only Just Begun
Freedmen still have a long way before they are truly equal in society. I wish to be apart of this journey and aid with my assistance in any way possible.
Congress would assure freedmen an equal place in society if we could make the rules and punish the South.
