- Gentrification describes urban renewal that leads to the displacement of the occupying demographic. It's commonly associated with rising property values in previously low-income urban areas, which may end up making the current residents move away. An example of gentrification is New York City, especially when it comes to discussions about rent rising up and low income residents moving out.
- Gated Communities
- CBD which stands for central business district, is where a large amount of business are frequently located. It is also the commercial and often heart of the city. in the united states this is commonly known as the Downtown or the city center. The most well known CBD is probably Midtown Manhattan in New York City, which is commonly shown in many movies and TV shows.
- Suburbs
- An Edge City is an Urban area with a large suburban residential areas surrounding it. Those areas are tied together by a belt way. The edge city's started out as suburban areas for the people who worked in the central cities. An example of an edge city is Tysons Corner, Virginia.
- Rural
- Gated communities are fenced in neighborhoods with controlled access gates for people and automobiles The main objective of gated communities is to create a safer space for a home. In numbers, California and Florida have the most gated communities with Texas coming in a close third. In California Hidden Hills is located in the Santa Monica Mountains and it is one of the most largest gated communities in all of Los Angeles.
