Gilgamesh
Storyboard Text
- Ishtar, the goddess of love, fell in love with King Gilgamesh, but the king knew of the bad things that happened to the other things she has loved. He refuses to marry her.
- Ishtar asked her father to make the bull of heaven to destroy Gilgamesh for her, even though her father warned her that it would lead to a seven year drought.
- Gilgamesh and his brother slayed the bull of heaven
- This caused Ishtar to become furious and she demanded Gilgamesh's life.
- Since Gilgamesh was part god, the gods decided tot take his brother's life instead. He dies in bed because of a disease.
- The king mourned the death of his brother as he remembered all of the adventures he and his brother had had including killing the bull of heaven and Humbaba.
- The king left Uruk (his kingdom) to wander the wilderness as he mourned the loss his brother
