- Its Christmas Eve in New York. Its the 1900's, and business hasn't being doing too well. Della knows this as she silently thins of her gift that her husband gave her last time. Della cleans the house as she waits for her husband to leave for work. They begin making conversation.
- Her husband walks into the room as he fixes his tail coat.He knows that he can't afford anything super expensive
- Do you remember the time what you bought me last Christmas? It was beautiful.
- Yes, I remember thats when buisness was running smooth. Nowdays, no one buys from us anymore.
- $1.87!? I cant buy him anything that good with that.
