- Alex lives with her cruel twin stepsisters Jessica Madison and her stepmother
- Later that day an invitation arrived to The Best of NH Party from the mayor
- I shall marry the owner
- But her stepmother says that she can't go because she has nothing to wear but she remembers her mother's dress in her closet and her beautiful diamond necklace
- When she gets to the party she sees Jessica among the crowd and immediately goes the other way and runs into the mayor and asks if she wants to dance but she runs away as her stepmother leaves but her looses her mothers necklace
- The mayor picks up the necklace and decides that he shall marry whoever the necklace belongs to because the diamond could not compare to the beauty of its owner
- They search for days and many towns but no one compared to the beauty of the girl he met at the party until he finally reached the house that Alex lived at and sees her
