You are walking towards a traffic light and spot an old lady holding a white cane waiting by the roadside. The light turns green for pedestrians but there is no audible signal. The old lady remains still.
Ignore her and cross the road on your own.
Grab her arm without warning and lead her across.
Gently tap her on the shoulder to inform her the light is green and ask if she needs assistance.

You are at the canteen and notice Dylan, a classmate with special needs, being bullied and teased by your friends.

Guys, stop it! Making fun of someone, especially because of their special needs, is hurtful and not funny. Dylan deserves the same respect as anyone else.
You have made the right choice! When you see a classmate with special needs being bullied, staying silent can make the situation worse. When you speak up in a firm but respectful way, you send a strong message that bullying is not acceptable and all students, including those with special needs, deserves to be treated with respect.
