- Hey follow me into these catacombs, there's wine.

- Ok, since there's wine.
- Fortunato is at carnival, and he is drinking lots of wine. Fortunato did something to Montresor in the past, so now he hates Fortunato. Montresor decides that today is the day to get his revenge on Fortunato. He tells Fortunato about a cask of amontillado to lure him.

- Haha now you're trapped.
- Montresor hates Fortunato. He wants to get revenge on Fortunato by killing him. Montresor has set up an elaborate, but useful trap to accomplish his goal.

- Haha you're gonna let me out right?
- Montresor lures Fortunato into his trap. He leads him down the catacombs. Fortunato doesn't know what's going to happen to him.
- resolution
- oOnce they reached the recess, Montresor chained Fortunato in. Fortunato was too stunned to say anything. He now realized his fatal mistake. He was too drunk to realize the subtle hints Montresor had been giving him the whole time.
- Layer by layer, Montresor bricks in Fortunato. Fortunato takes one last shot at getting free, but to no avail. Fortunato thinks it may still be just a joke, but it is not. Now, Montresor was almost done, there was just a small opening left.

- Since Fortunato had gone silent, Montresor thrust his light into the small opening. Once he was done, Montresor puts the final brick in. He is now happy that he got his revenge on Fortunato. Fortunato's body was never found.
