  • ALCOHOL HELP
  • At the party, Bob is socially influenced to drink alcohol. 60% of all underage drinking is from peer pressure. Teens are sometimes pressured by friends or groups of alcoholics. Many people use alcohol to get rid of depression. People are also convinced to drink after watching television advertisements or looking at alcohol posters. After having one drink, teens feel an urge to have more. This can lead to alcohol addiction.
  • Bob goes home feeling sick and is mentally unstable. Bob almost gets hit by a car as he stumbles home. He does not think straight or see clearly.Alcohol causes hallucinations, bad coordination, and slow reaction time. It impacts the brain, affecting mental health and causing memory loss. It also damages the stomach and liver. Furthermore, alcohol changes a person's behaviour, and leads to violence and accidents. Drinking also results in spending more money.
  • Bob searches for help on the internet and finds helplines. Eventually, Bob declines alcohol that his friends offer. He feels good about it. He does not want to cause problems nor get sick again.Being educated about alcohol and learning why it is dangerous is important. People can get help from online websites and helplines, such as Reachout or Drinkline. Some advice for drinking is to find alternative non-alcoholic beverages and to limit how much you drink.
