- Mom made a huge deal about Mr. Tushman asking me to be a welcome buddy. She acted like I won an Oscar or something.
- She dropped me off at the school. Charlotte Cody and Jack Will were already in the front lobby. Jack did not want to do this. He said he has never seen anything like this kid's face either. When I saw August I knew what he meant.
- That year was different than last year. Jack Will started to hang out with the freak and even knocked one of my teeth out. Later that year, I wrote notes to August and Jack Will trying to get Jack Will on my side. That did not go well though.
- I was suspended and I could not go to the retreat. Mom was furious. And now I am being pulled out of Beecher Prep. I personally feel no remorse.
- That summer I went to my Grand-mere's house. I told her my situation and she told me her story. She was a jewish women livinh through the holocaust. A boy named Julian saved her life. This boy was like Auguat though, normal face but his legs were deformed and walked weird.
- Later that evening, I sent August an apology. Gand-mere even had mom and dad forget their anger.
