  • Freud created the concept of id, superego, and ego. The superego is the realist in your decision making to have you do the best thing possible. The id is the opposite, like the devil, wants to satisfy basic drives no matter the cost. The ego is a balance between the two that makes the best decision considering both. Freud believed this was a very important part of decisions and personality.
