- The soldiers that forced the cherokee nation out of the land.
- Thousands of native Americans from the Cherokee nation left their homes to go to Indian territory.
- Over 15,000 of the people in the Cherokee nation got sick or froze to death.
- The Cherokee Nation survives until today. half of them live in Northeast Oklahoma. The other half of the Cherokee Nation live in North Carolina because they hid for the US army and avoided the trail of tears.
