- Ethan and his grandmother have been going to church together every Sunday for the past few years. On this particular Sunday, Ethans learns that he did not get into his dream school that he applied for. He is very upset by this news since he had prayed to get into this school, and this leads him to not believe in God anymore, and on top of this, lose his faith.
- Sorry grandma, I will not be coming to church with you anymore. I've decided that I no longer believe in God.
- Good morning Ethan! It's Sunday! Are you ready to go to church with me? Also, remember to bring your mask to protect us from the covid virus!
- I don't understand why I didn't get accepted into the school! I've worked so hard! This is not fair!
- Ethan's grandmother understands why he is discouraged and upset. However, she has strong faith in God, and knows that everything happens for a reason, since it is part of God's plan. She knows that Ethan not getting into his dream school has a reason behind it, that they just couldn't see yet.
- I am leaving for church soon, you still have time to decide if you want to come.
- Don't cry or be upset, Ethan. You have to understand that everything happens for a reason, and God has a plan for us.
- Good thing I'm not at that school right now! I could have caught the virus and put my grandma at risk!
- Ethan goes to his room sad and frustrated, since he didn't get into his dream school. He turns on his TV, and sees on the news that there was a serious covid outbreak... AT THE SCHOOL HE WANTED TO ATTEND! He is shocked and comes to the realization that if he was accepted into the school, he may have contracted the virus, and spread it to his grandmother. Since she is elderly, it could have been harmful to her. Suddenly, he is grateful that he was at home, healthy and safe, and not attending his "dream school".
- There was a covid outbreak at the school? Oh my goodness thats horrible!

- Ethan rushes downstairs to tell his grandma about the information he had found out. As she had said before, everything happens for a reason even if they don't know why in the moment. Ethan finding out this information was an epiphany moment for him, as he recognizes that God's plan for him was falling in place.
- Grandma! You're never going to believe what I just saw on the news! The school that rejected me has a covid outbreak! I guess it is a blessing in disguise that I didn't get in! Otherwise I could have put you at risk!
- You see! Everything does happen for a reason! God is all knowing, and works in mysterious ways. Do you understand that God put you in this situation to help keep our family safe?
- I now understand that even though things are disappointing sometimes, it happens for a reason. Even though I did pray to get into the school, God knew the situation and what was going to occur at the school, and prevented me from getting sick. This proves to me that God is real!
- After finding out the potential reason for why God may have prevented Ethan from going to the school, he begins to believe in God again, and have faith and trust in the Lord. Ethan and his grandma now have a mutual understanding.
- I'm glad you have come to that realization!
- Ethan decides to go to church with his grandma in the end. They have a mutual understanding of the way God works, and they are both very thankful to have Him in their lives.
- Okay, I'm going to come to church with you now! I need to pray and thank the Lord, as well as apologizing for doubting him.
- Thank you Ethan, I am very proud of you, and I know God is too! Always remember to have faith and everything that happens, happens for a reason.
